Jeera Aloo

One of the simple and yet tasty. Potatoes spiced with cumin is simply irresistible. This Punjabi dry sabzi can be had with rotis or puris. SM just loves this dish. I make this dish very often. So here is the recipe.

Ingredients:

Potatoes - 4 big
Cumin seeds - 2 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil - 2 tbsp

Method:


 Heat the oil in a frying pan on medium-high heat. Add cumin seeds.


Add diced potatoes and fry for a minute.


Add dry spices and cook well until potatoes are done.



Heat the oil in a frying pan on medium-high heat. 
Add cumin seeds and after the seeds crackle, add diced potatoes and fry for a minute. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt. Mix well so that all the potatoes are coated with spices. Cook the potatoes until done. Serve hot with chapatis.
